August, Dr. Wu presented our research finding on "Digital Twin for Aircraft Engine Health Management" the 2022 Machine Failure Prevention Technology Annual Meeting. Dr. Wu attended the ERVA Visioning Workshop-"Engineering R&D Solution for Unhackable Infrastructure" at MIT.
June, Dr. Wu attended the 2022 ASEE Annual Conference. Dr. Wu was elected to be the 2022-2023 Program Chair for ASEE Manufacturing Division.
May, Dr. Wu is selected by Virginia State University for the 2021-2022 STAR Award on Outstanding Faculty in Research/Scholarship/Creative Activities. December, Dr. Wu received training on 5-axis machining at DMG MORI Academy.
November, Our paper "Effect of copper donor material-assisted friction stir welding of AA6061-T6 alloy on downward force, microstructure, and mechanical properties" was accepted by International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Thanks to the support from NASA! Malik, Curtrell, and Antonio's abstract submission to ERN 2022 were accepted. Antonio received NSF travel award to attend ERN 2022. Congratulations!
July, Dr. Wu was selected for the "2021 Outstanding Junior Faculty" award by ASEE Manufacturing Division. Congratulations!

November, Dr. Wu hosted the visit of Dr. Hong-Chao Zhang from Texas Tech University for research/education collaborations. Dr. Wu attended Advanced Manufacturing Research and Development Workshop at NSF. Dr. Wu attended ONR MEEP project kick-off meeting at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.

January, Dr. Wu presented the research progress on digital thread and digital twin to ONR officers' visit to VSU. Dr. Wu hosted the visit of Dr. Tony Hsieh from Texas A&M University. Dr. Hsieh gave a seminar on Cyber-Physical Systems and Industry 4.0, had discussions with VSU MANE faculty on research and education collaborations.
